POSSE 1911 FC's Modesto Bernat was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Benny Bur in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Leonard Åhman might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Angel Xabel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marcus Allbäck made a kick off. The supporters of Sledgehammer KO booed when POSSE 1911 FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xavi Guardiola didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 56th minute Lukas Lundgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benny Bur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcus Allbäck got free with Angel Xabel in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marcus Allbäck who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 63rdth minute tested the skills of Angel Xabel when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A collision led to POSSE 1911 FC getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Alfredo Di Marco hit a great ball.
