Arne Linberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Dida Mazurkiewicz made a huge save. After a rather tough play, PeGe FC's Folke Dahlkvist got a free kick in the 19th minute. A collision led to PeGe FC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Celestino Balasi hit a great ball. Dé 周瑜 took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eros André. Eros André dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. The audience was convinced that Ciprian Toma's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eros André was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. Eros André made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciprian Toma in the 41st minute of play. PeGe FC's Eros André played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciprian Toma in the 46th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Ciprian Toma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Eros André made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lilian Thuram in the 55th minute of play. Ciprian Toma might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eros André. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ciprian Toma ran back to his position shaking his head. Ciprian Toma blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eros André having to make a save. If Ciprian Toma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eros André came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by 浦江棋王联队's Ciprian Toma. But to his dismay, Ciprian Toma quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. 浦江棋王联队's Ciprian Toma was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 69th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Eros André showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ciprian Toma in the 71st minute of the match. 浦江棋王联队's Radomil Gaszynski got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 75 minutes into the match, PeGe FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ciprian Toma came free, but Eros André reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 浦江棋王联队's Luís Fabiano Bezerra was substituted for Lilian Thuram. Ciprian Toma received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Eros André tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wiktor Joensson made in the 81st minute of the game a quick throw-in and Arne Linberg immediately put the ball in play. Luís Fabiano Bezerra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 90 played minutes, 浦江棋王联队's Luís Fabiano Bezerra shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Eros André came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in 浦江棋王联队 reached it. Eros André had great luck who in the 96thth minute grab hold of the ball when Ciprian Toma from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. The 浦江棋王联队 supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing 浦江棋王联队 would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
