CERRO PORTEÑO's Simon Gerbault quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Pinhote FC's Ni Guang Yong proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Pinhote FC from getting a goal against them. Cãlin Damaschin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sílvio Luís Ceresso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th match minute, CERRO PORTEÑO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Velasco to maneuver through the defense. 29 minutes into the match, CERRO PORTEÑO's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Rodríguez came free, but Cãlin Damaschin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. CERRO PORTEÑO's Cãlin Damaschin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sílvio Luís Ceresso in the 32nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Pinhote FC's zone, Andres-Sebastian Kanchelskis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ni Guang Yong came out of the goal and Andres-Sebastian Kanchelskis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 39 minutes of play, Pinhote FC's Imre Hellinger made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cãlin Damaschin was left in no man's land by his defense there! Simon Gerbault charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Damião Maia was slow to take the kick. During this time Pinhote FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Damião Maia almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but CERRO PORTEÑO's Cãlin Damaschin did a great save. Cãlin Damaschin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Imre Hellinger's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. Pinhote FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Damião Maia in the 65th minute. Damião Maia made a great header on Pinhote FC's corner, it was just that CERRO PORTEÑO's Cãlin Damaschin managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 67th minute of the match, Sílvio Luís Ceresso got a very nice opportunity to score, but Cãlin Damaschin was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Cãlin Damaschin made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Sílvio Luís Ceresso sent off a good shot on target. Pinhote FC's Ni Guang Yong played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andres-Sebastian Kanchelskis in the 95th minute of play. Pinhote FC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
