With a couple of smart ball manuevers Denis Stanislao in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ronaldo Medeiros saved Montevideo from getting behind. Sacronas Futbol Club's Santos Sidro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olavo Matorin in the 13th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Montevideo's zone, Denis Stanislao stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ronaldo Medeiros came out of the goal and Denis Stanislao tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 17 minutes into the match, Sacronas Futbol Club's goal looked a bit too open when Laerte Lucas came free, but Santos Sidro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th minute Bray McJon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santos Sidro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21st minute, Olavo Matorin made a precise shot to the right of Santos Sidro. Sacronas Futbol Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Santos Sidro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Laerte Lucas went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Ronaldo Medeiros made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Everardo Lore sent off a good shot on target. 30 minutes into the match, Sacronas Futbol Club's goal looked a bit too open when Laerte Lucas came free, but Santos Sidro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Santos Sidro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laerte Lucas in the 32nd minute of the match. Ronaldo Medeiros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denis Stanislao in the 34th minute of play. Sacronas Futbol Club's Santos Sidro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olavo Matorin in the 35th minute of play. In the 36th minute Montevideo were awarded a corner. Wilson Fernandez went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Wilson Fernandez almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Sacronas Futbol Club's Santos Sidro did a great save. Santos Sidro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laerte Lucas, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laerte Lucas in the 42nd minute of play forced Sacronas Futbol Club's goalkeeper Santos Sidro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 46 minutes into the match, Montevideo's goalkeeper Ronaldo Medeiros had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Everardo Lore. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Bray McJon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Santos Sidro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. Sacronas Futbol Club's Santos Sidro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Sacronas Futbol Club from getting a goal against them. Ronaldo Medeiros had in the 75thth minute some difficulties stopping Hernan Crespo's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Laerte Lucas got free with Santos Sidro in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ronaldo Medeiros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Denis Stanislao, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olavo Matorin in the 84th minute of play forced Sacronas Futbol Club's goalkeeper Santos Sidro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Santos Sidro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christian Passos in the 87th minute of the match. Laerte Lucass short, quick shot in the 95thth minute got Santos Sidro to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in.
