Iker Hidalgo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Genaro Aragones showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 6 minute of play. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Velho Barreiro FC's goalkeeper Iker Hidalgo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ferid Eker charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ferid Eker the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ferid Eker hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Genaro Aragones blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Iker Hidalgo having to make a save. Through an outstanding action, after 11 minutes, Iker Hidalgo successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Genaro Aragones in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Iker Hidalgo saved Velho Barreiro FC from getting behind. Iker Hidalgo came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by São José City - FSCMZ's Genaro Aragones. But to his dismay, Genaro Aragones quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Genaro Aragones received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Iker Hidalgo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Velho Barreiro FC's goalkeeper Iker Hidalgo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 22nd minute São José City - FSCMZ were awarded a corner. Genaro Aragones went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on São José City - FSCMZ's corner Genaro Aragones fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Iker Hidalgo quite easily take care of the ball. In the 23rd match minute, Velho Barreiro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victor Luis to maneuver through the defense. Milcho Rakov hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Genaro Aragones blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Iker Hidalgo having to make a save. Iker Hidalgo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Genaro Aragones in the 25th minute of the match. São José City - FSCMZ's George Buffon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Naldo Guerra in the 37th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, São José City - FSCMZ's Benedito Paes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Iker Hidalgo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. São José City - FSCMZ were awarded a corner in the 41th minute after Velho Barreiro FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Genaro Aragones took the corner. 46 minutes into the match, Benedito Paes dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Iker Hidalgo, 3-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

São José City - FSCMZ's Dagoberto Linares was substituted for Elias Rocha. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ferid Eker was the one to do the kick off. Ferid Eker blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without George Buffon having to make a save. Iker Hidalgo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benedito Paes in the 54th minute of the match. After some careless play in the São José City - FSCMZ defense, Naldo Guerra kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of George Buffon. The São José City - FSCMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that George Buffon should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, São José City - FSCMZ's George Buffon got control of the ball when Naldo Guerra tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 65th minute Genaro Aragones shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iker Hidalgo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 65th minute, Genaro Aragones made a precise shot to the right of Iker Hidalgo. Velho Barreiro FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. In the 67th minute Genaro Aragones shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iker Hidalgo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Genaro Aragones blasted a shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Iker Hidalgo having to make a save. Many of Velho Barreiro FC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Velho Barreiro FC may have spent more time on the ball, but São José City - FSCMZ were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
