Petrică Cândreanu ran over to the corner to take the kick. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Petrică Cândreanu was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Latif Al Fakir in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristiano Hagi in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gong Jun Feng prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 17 played minutes FC UNIREA Alba Iulia got a freekick which was hit by Petrică Cândreanu. Cristiano Hagi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gong Jun Feng having to interfere. Iulian Pietreanu didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 1-1 via right post in the game's 22nd minute. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! In the 25th minute, Stepan Kolyshko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orçun Yalınalp in the 26th minute of play forced Galatasaray SK's goalkeeper Latif Al Fakir to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 41st minute Cristiano Hagi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gong Jun Feng saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of FC UNIREA Alba Iulia booed when Galatasaray SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aleksandr Kalashnikov didn't get a good kick on the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Iulian Pietreanu made a kick off. The FC UNIREA Alba Iulia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
