An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Morientes in the 12th minute of play forced E L C O K O F C ® E V G ®'s goalkeeper Lucas Duarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th minute, Fernando Morientes made a precise shot to the right of Lucas Duarte. E L C O K O F C ® E V G ®'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Zdzislaw Lichniak scored 2-3 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tolek Kiszkiel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Radamel-Falcao García made a kick off. Lucas Duarte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabian Czeszejko, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. After 55 minutes of play, Olimpia HSB's Fabian Czeszejko made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lucas Duarte was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Fernando Morientes showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-5 in the 60 minute of play. Lucas Duarte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabian Czeszejko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 68th minute Ordono Balda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tolek Kiszkiel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fernando Morientes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Lucas Duarte made a huge save. Lucas Duarte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacek Pietrowiak in the 91st minute of the match. Olimpia HSB's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
