Francesco Totti was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 3rd minute. Hammarby IF's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After a rather tough play, Racing Miami Futbol Club's Romeo Zeigler got a free kick in the 8th minute. Racing Miami Futbol Club were furious when Sydney Trujillo was red carded, 9 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Jarrod Leary showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celedonio Dominguez in the 18th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peter Hood in the 29th minute of play forced Hammarby IF's goalkeeper Holger Vester to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Racing Miami Futbol Club's Jarrod Leary proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Racing Miami Futbol Club from getting a goal against them. Holger Vester took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Peter Hood, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 37th minute of the match Racing Miami Futbol Club got a corner. Hammarby IF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Osvaldinho Ósvaldsson ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Osvaldinho Ósvaldsson almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Hammarby IF's Holger Vester did a great save. 38 minutes into the match, Hammarby IF's goal looked a bit too open when Romeo Zeigler came free, but Holger Vester reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 39 minutes had been played when some careless play by Hammarby IF's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Osvaldinho Ósvaldsson was slow to take the kick. During this time Racing Miami Futbol Club's players had a chance to rest. A collision led to Hammarby IF getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Silas Duarte hit a great ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Holger Vester made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osvaldinho Ósvaldsson in the 52nd minute of play. Osvaldinho Ósvaldsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hammarby IF's Anders Lindblom was substituted for Bo-Erik Wallin. Alexis Hoover hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. 68 minutes into the match, Racing Miami Futbol Club's goal looked a bit too open when Celedonio Dominguez came free, but Jarrod Leary reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celedonio Dominguez in the 68th minute of play forced Racing Miami Futbol Club's goalkeeper Jarrod Leary to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jarrod Leary came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Hammarby IF's Francesco Totti. But to his dismay, Francesco Totti quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Jarrod Leary showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celedonio Dominguez, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Holger Vester made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Sol Bartlett sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Racing Miami Futbol Club's Sol Bartlett slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Holger Vester. That made the score 1-1 after 86 minutes of play. Chance Adams scored 1-2 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Holger Vester, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 92nd minute, Chance Adams fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 93 minutes into the game, Celedonio Dominguez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Jarrod Leary was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
