Mariano Andujar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Iban in the 35th minute of play. Augusto Udalaitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mariano Andujar having to interfere. A collision led to Maravilla getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Herminio Iyan hit a great ball. Lucas Langoni took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mariano Andujar. Mariano Andujar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nemesio Damario to strike the kick off in the second half. Rene Higuita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nemesio Damario, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. In the 54th match minute, Maravilla was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herminio Iyan to maneuver through the defense. Mariano Andujar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Manuel Iban in the 60th minute. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Maravilla reached it. When the match was over ..Villa Rugby Club.. could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Maravilla throughout the match.
