Emilio Ascencio's late challenge caught a Deportivo Kadorna's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emilio Ascencio helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to los nadies getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Emilio Ascencio hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Simone Ritieni got free with Anibal Erlantz in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The corner led los nadies's Conrado Abalos to fire away a dangerous shot which Anibal Erlantz despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. A collision led to los nadies getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Jude Bellinger hit a great ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Toro Grana to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Toro Grana in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anibal Erlantz saved Deportivo Kadorna from getting behind. After a rather tough play, los nadies's Toro Grana got a free kick in the 77th minute. In the 81st minute Alejo Ferdinand shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eusébio Caiado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Siro Olivar kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Eusébio Caiado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anselmo Abastas in the 84th minute of the match. Anibal Erlantz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toro Grana, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
