In the 21st minute Spams were awarded a corner. Dado Pršo went to the cornerflag to take it. Aaron Goizeder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luís Mejía showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adam Bareiro in the 26th minute of the match. 28 minutes had been played when some careless play by LA LUZ F.C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Dado Pršo was slow to take the kick. During this time Spams's players had a chance to rest. Vedran Ćorluka kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adam Bareiro in the 30th minute of play forced LA LUZ F.C.'s goalkeeper Luís Mejía to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 32 played minutes Spams got a freekick which was hit by Amancio Feliu. Maximino Urtsin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaudencio Froila, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
