In the 6th minute, Leonardo Torres left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The MANIACOS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Constantino Hurtado charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Constantino Hurtado the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Saverio Milla, 10 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Baiarte Cazares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonardo Torres in the 12th minute of the match. Evaristo Vaz's late challenge caught a Deportivo ScrugenFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Evaristo Vaz helped the player get up and apologised. When Blanco Manzanedo fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MANIACOS's protests and gave Blanco Manzanedo a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Deportivo ScrugenFC booed when MANIACOS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Blanco Manzanedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Deportivo ScrugenFC's Constantino Hurtado shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 17th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Gaitan Laurenciano but with some difficulty. Baiarte Cazares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evaristo Vaz, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. MANIACOS's Gaitan Laurenciano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save MANIACOS from getting a goal against them. After 25 minutes MANIACOS's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Chus Carreira who took care of the corner kick. Baiarte Cazares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jerry Burnham, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Caradaro Arismendi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Gaitan Laurenciano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 34th minute Deportivo ScrugenFC were awarded a corner. Chus Carreira went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Deportivo ScrugenFC's corner Chus Carreira fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Gaitan Laurenciano quite easily take care of the ball. Gaitan Laurenciano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Txindoki Ameda in the 36th minute of the match. Saverio Milla kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Deportivo ScrugenFC's Orland Villadiego got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Baiarte Cazares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jerry Burnham, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half MANIACOS were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Gaitan Laurenciano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chus Carreira in the 58th minute of the match. In the 58th minute, Jerold Iturcha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Deportivo ScrugenFC made a substitution. Batista Fuertehijar replaced Chus Carreira. Deportivo ScrugenFC's Dolfo Rogel was substituted for Txindoki Ameda. In the 67th minute Batista Fuertehijar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaitan Laurenciano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 68th match minute, MANIACOS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jerold Iturcha to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo ScrugenFC's zone, Blanco Manzanedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baiarte Cazares came out of the goal and Blanco Manzanedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Batista Fuertehijar in the 75th minute of play forced MANIACOS's goalkeeper Gaitan Laurenciano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Batista Fuertehijar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo ScrugenFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Batista Fuertehijar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gaitan Laurenciano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Peter Limia kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. If Checa Peñas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 86th minute, Dolfo Rogel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Deportivo ScrugenFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. 93 minutes into the game, Jerold Iturcha was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MANIACOS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Deportivo ScrugenFC the free kick. After 94 played minutes MANIACOS got a freekick which was hit by Jerold Iturcha.
