In the 11th minute, De Ontembare Leeuwen's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Rik Heubach fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Meindert Janus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tonnie Nijsse, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Koos Lurling's late challenge caught a De Ontembare Leeuwen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Koos Lurling helped the player get up and apologised. In the 15th minute, Koos Lurling hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Oscar Martinez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Dave Otten made a huge save. Flashdynamica's Meindert Janus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tonnie Nijsse in the 19th minute of play. Dave Otten stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Donald Wagenaar's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. After a rather tough play, Flashdynamica's Rik Heubach got a free kick in the 24th minute. Meindert Janus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jos Brinker in the 26th minute of play. If Sander Spoel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 31 played minutes De Ontembare Leeuwen got a freekick which was hit by Tonnie Nijsse. Dave Otten didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Donald Wagenaar went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. When Dennis Bosstraeten fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Flashdynamica's protests and gave Dennis Bosstraeten a yellow card for diving instead. In the 47th minute, Jos Brinker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sander Spoel to make the kick off. A collision led to De Ontembare Leeuwen getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Tonnie Nijsse hit a great ball. When Donald Wagenaar came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Flashdynamica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Donald Wagenaar couldn't finish the play. Rik Heubach struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Dave Otten didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Flashdynamica. If Donald Wagenaar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tonnie Nijsse in the 92nd minute of play forced Flashdynamica's goalkeeper Meindert Janus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
