When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tostão Queirós made a kick off. When Marcinho Gomes came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Nova Iguaçu MZFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcinho Gomes couldn't finish the play. Bandeca FC's Afonsinho Dracena was substituted for Márcio de Salles. 59 minutes into the match, Reynaldo Dionísio notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Bandeca FC's Kléberson Soeiro. Kléberson Soeiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 63 played minutes Bandeca FC got a freekick which was hit by David Prestes. After 65 minutes of play, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Reynaldo Dionísio made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kléberson Soeiro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dorival Brodel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Kléberson Soeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 71st minute, Reynaldo Dionísio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Nova Iguaçu MZFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. When Reynaldo Dionísio in the 74th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Kléberson Soeiro kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 0-6 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. Tostão Queirós fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kléberson Soeiro having to interfere. In the 81st minute of the match Dorival Brodel sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kléberson Soeiro skillfully saved the ball. When Luiz Gustavo Couto fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bandeca FC's protests and gave Luiz Gustavo Couto a yellow card for diving instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Reynaldo Dionísio got free with Kléberson Soeiro in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tiago Ortiz hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Kléberson Soeiro acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 84th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Guilherme Mandrak. He was immediately shown a red card. 93 minutes into the game, one of Bandeca FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 96 minutes, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Aloísio Zanette got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Kléberson Soeiro. When the final whistle sounded Nova Iguaçu MZFC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Bandeca FC.
