A collision led to Hartmann Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Aloísio Lopez hit a great ball. With an all-out effort, Hartmann Futebol Clube's Hudson Cordeiro threw himself towards the right post 18 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Aloísio Lopez, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Hudson Cordeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aloísio Lopez in the 18th minute of play. Hudson Cordeiro made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Baltazar Messias sent off a good shot on target. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 21st minute of the game. One of Hartmann Futebol Clube:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Tio Patinhas:s goal. Cesinha Veiga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benjamin Lopes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tio Patinhas's Hudson Cordeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Luiz Secco in the 30th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Tio Patinhas's Paulo Renato do Valle got a free kick in the 30th minute. If Pedro Luiz Secco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Tio Patinhas booed when Hartmann Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gil Vianna got free with Cesinha Veiga in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Tio Patinhas had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
