Rey Cevallos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience was convinced that Xosepin Uruñuela's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rey Cevallos was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. Mesere's attentive Pacho Losua managed to snatch the ball when Ebardo Marichal made a throw-in in the 32nd minute of the game. In the 40th minute, Edgard Maya fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Rey Cevallos, passed just outside the right post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Xosepin Uruñuela got free with Rey Cevallos in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Oriol Gavilanes kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Rey Cevallos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xosepin Uruñuela, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Xosepin Uruñuela ran over to the corner to take the kick. 78 minutes into the game, Indalecio Chavarria threw the ball into play from the sideline. Mesere's Pacho Losua quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. If Pacho Losua had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 84 minutes into the match, Mesere's Edgard Maya sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rey Cevallos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 87th minute, Edgard Maya got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Edgard Maya received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Rey Cevallos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pacho Losua hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. In the 95th minute of the match Indalecio Chavarria sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Charis Manatakis skillfully saved the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Mesere fans cheered their team off the field, for while Unikurdos United F.C. had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
