Ramos Pejuan came out and tried to block the shot, but Urki Espino slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 3rd minute. When the match had gone on for 9 minutes, Manolo Uquillas put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Johnny Conill. Johnny Conill showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manolo Uquillas in the 14th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Loco Alves in the 17th minute of play forced Club Puerto Quito's goalkeeper Johnny Conill to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 18 minutes into the game, Vitin Martin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Puerto Quito's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave DALO S.C. the free kick. In the 18th match minute, Club Puerto Quito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vitin Martin to maneuver through the defense. In the 29th minute Manolo Uquillas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johnny Conill saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Johnny Conill took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Norberto Trespuentes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Loco Alves in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Johnny Conill saved Club Puerto Quito from getting behind. When DALO S.C.'s Manolo Uquillas in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Club Puerto Quito's goalie prevented a goal. In the 39th minute, Xano Florez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Johnny Conill made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Loco Alves in the 43rd minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Oswaldo Barrionuevo made a kick off. When Urki Espino came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Club Puerto Quito fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Urki Espino couldn't finish the play. A collision led to DALO S.C. getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Roman Arguiso hit a great ball. In the 57th minute, Arturo Azpiazu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Johnny Conill showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manolo Uquillas, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. In the 62nd match minute, Club Puerto Quito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arturo Azpiazu to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Loco Alves managed to get in a good position for a shot. DALO S.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Loco Alves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Johnny Conill breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Club Puerto Quito getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Arturo Azpiazu hit a great ball. In the 65th minute of the match Loco Alves shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Johnny Conill showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to DALO S.C. getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Rey Peralta hit a great ball. After 75 played minutes DALO S.C. got a freekick which was hit by Rey Peralta. A collision led to Club Puerto Quito getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Vitin Martin hit a great ball. Johnny Conill made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Rodriguez Huera sent off a good shot on target. Johnny Conill acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 82nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Loco Alves. Ramos Pejuan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelo Noceda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ramos Pejuan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vitin Martin in the 95th minute of the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. DALO S.C. had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
