After a defensive mix-up in Rosendo Bottaro FC's zone, Dionisio Laurendi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Agustin Maldonado came out of the goal and Dionisio Laurendi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 16th minute, Braulio Barrionuevo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Quilmes fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Agustin Maldonado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Braulio Barrionuevo, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 23rd minute, Efrain Estevon reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Adan Lartaun. The goal made the score 1-3. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Adan Lartaun made an important save on a dangerous shot by Efrain Estevon in the 27th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ismael Dolcet in the 28th minute of play forced Rosendo Bottaro FC's goalkeeper Agustin Maldonado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Agustin Maldonado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ismael Dolcet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 31st minute Ismael Dolcet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agustin Maldonado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ismael Dolcet in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Agustin Maldonado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Agustin Maldonado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacobo Lauro in the 38th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, Rosendo Bottaro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Braulio Barrionuevo came free, but Agustin Maldonado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Quilmes played a much better game than Rosendo Bottaro FC and deserved their victory. The Rosendo Bottaro FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
