Ferdinand Simionescu did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Valentin Chirnoagă 3 minutes into the match. The supporters of F.C.BARLAD booed when Locomotiva Adjud was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eugen Golescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Octav Cretan, 16 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Valentin Chirnoagă showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ferdinand Simionescu in the 18th minute of the match. Valentin Chirnoagă took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valentin Plopșor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Locomotiva Adjud's Valentin Chirnoagă got control of the ball when Martin Ilarie tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Locomotiva Adjud getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Olimpiu Ciocâltea hit a great ball. F.C.BARLAD's Paul Albuț shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 28th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Valentin Chirnoagă but with some difficulty. If Martin Busuioceanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. F.C.BARLAD's Bogdan Gurgui played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sergiu Zglimbea in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th match minute, F.C.BARLAD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valentin Plopșor to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valentin Plopșor in the 45th minute of play forced Locomotiva Adjud's goalkeeper Valentin Chirnoagă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Martin Ilarie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Valentin Plopșor made a kick off. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Ferdinand Simionescu put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Valentin Chirnoagă. In the 60th match minute, F.C.BARLAD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Ilarie to maneuver through the defense. In the 61st minute of the match Iulian Cumpan shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bogdan Gurgui showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, F.C.BARLAD's Paul Albuț got a free kick in the 67th minute. In the 72nd minute, Valentin Plopșor made a precise shot to the right of Valentin Chirnoagă. Locomotiva Adjud's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. The referee felt a red card was in order, 80 minutes into the game, when Paul Albuț put in a rough tackle. After 80 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for F.C.BARLAD! F.C.BARLAD:s Bogdan Gurgui showed great skill when he stopped Gică Răchitan:s penalty. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valentin Plopșor in the 86th minute of play forced Locomotiva Adjud's goalkeeper Valentin Chirnoagă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 88th minute Valentin Plopșor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valentin Chirnoagă saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of F.C.BARLAD booed when Locomotiva Adjud was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olimpiu Ciocâltea didn't get a good kick on the ball. 90 minutes into the match, Valentin Plopșor had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Valentin Chirnoagă. Locomotiva Adjud's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Valentin Plopșor was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. F.C.BARLAD were victorious despite being under pressure from Locomotiva Adjud for much of the match.
