Manole Tăcutu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gheorghe Vlăsiu's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Gheorghe Vlăsiu put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Manole Tăcutu. In the 20th minute of the match, Aristide Nichita tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Luca Corcoveanu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 26thth minute of the game Marius Cănănău who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but -BZF- Valea Buzăului's Manole Tăcutu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Manole Tăcutu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gheorghe Vlăsiu's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Manole Tăcutu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marius Cănănău in the 32nd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gheorghe Vlăsiu during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Luca Corcoveanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aristide Nichita in the 37th minute of play. Emanuel Ioanițiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Luca Corcoveanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Steaua Pildesti's goalkeeper Luca Corcoveanu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of FC Steaua Pildesti booed when -BZF- Valea Buzăului was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aristide Nichita didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, -BZF- Valea Buzăului's Luca Corcoveanu threw himself towards the right post 48 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Aristide Nichita, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marius Cănănău made a kick off. Octav Mergea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manole Tăcutu having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Remus Neagu during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, -BZF- Valea Buzăului's Remus Neagu got a free kick in the 58th minute. -BZF- Valea Buzăului's Manole Tăcutu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marius Cănănău in the 67th minute of play. After some careless play in the FC Steaua Pildesti defense, Emanuel Ioanițiu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luca Corcoveanu. The FC Steaua Pildesti fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luca Corcoveanu should have stopped the shot. The supporters of -BZF- Valea Buzăului booed when FC Steaua Pildesti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mircea Isvoreanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aristide Nichita struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Luca Corcoveanu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for -BZF- Valea Buzăului. 84 minutes into the match, FC Steaua Pildesti's goal looked a bit too open when Aristide Nichita came free, but Luca Corcoveanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 88th minute, Emanuel Ioanițiu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The -BZF- Valea Buzăului fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Marius Cănănău scored 2-2 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Manole Tăcutu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
