Nico de Mendonça started the match with the kick off. When Vágner Gaspar fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MINEIROS's protests and gave Vágner Gaspar a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Söderhall booed when MINEIROS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vágner Gaspar didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 6th minute, Knut Håning left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Söderhall fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After some careless play in the MINEIROS defense, Knut Håning kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Serginho Taffarel. The MINEIROS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Serginho Taffarel should have stopped the shot. If Benê Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alexander Mikaelsson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Benê Amorim went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. A collision led to MINEIROS getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Vágner Gaspar hit a great ball. Alexander Mikaelsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nico de Mendonça in the 36th minute of play. After 36 played minutes Söderhall got a freekick which was hit by Sten Lund. The audience was convinced that Benê Amorim's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alexander Mikaelsson was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. Vitinho Meirelles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexander Mikaelsson having to interfere. In the 43rd minute, Thomas Lindqvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ronaldinho Braga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Alexander Mikaelsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edmund Gerdberg to make the kick off. Nico de Mendonça could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Alexander Mikaelsson made a huge save. 62 minutes into the match, Söderhall's goalkeeper Alexander Mikaelsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benê Amorim. In the 63rd match minute, Söderhall was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thomas Lindqvist to maneuver through the defense. In the 64th minute of the match Benê Amorim shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alexander Mikaelsson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Alexander Mikaelsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nico de Mendonça in the 71st minute. Dan Delin's late challenge caught a MINEIROS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dan Delin helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Söderhall's Dan Delin got a free kick in the 75th minute. Dan Delin kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Maicon Quintal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alexander Mikaelsson was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. Nico de Mendonça could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Alexander Mikaelsson made a huge save. Alexander Mikaelsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nico de Mendonça in the 94th minute of play. Alexander Mikaelsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nico de Mendonça's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. MINEIROS were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
