Segundo Videl fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adolfo Carrizo having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Delmar Berenguer took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Adolfo Carrizo to make any attempt to save it. A collision led to Hahay getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Waldemar Banaszak hit a great ball. Adolfo Carrizo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wawrzyniec Lewandowski in the 22nd minute of the match. 27 minutes into the match, Delmar Berenguer dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Adolfo Carrizo, 2-0. After 41 played minutes, FC Žalia Giria's Vytautas Petkus shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Aigeus Milionis came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Žalia Giria reached it. Saúl Gentiletti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wawrzyniec Lewandowski stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Hahay's goalkeeper Aigeus Milionis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hikmet Lebib. Hahay's Aigeus Milionis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Hahay from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Delmar Berenguer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adolfo Carrizo was relentless in the 65th minute of the game.
