The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Chinese CJ Youth Academy's David Abad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rickard Erserman in the 3rd minute of play. In the 9th minute, Xu Yong Feng hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. David Abad came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Inter de Chillán's Rickard Erserman. But to his dismay, Rickard Erserman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Anton Björnberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Günther Doty in the 15th minute of play. Anton Björnberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luan Pombo in the 25th minute of the match. A collision led to Chinese CJ Youth Academy getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Xu Yong Feng hit a great ball. Inter de Chillán's Anton Björnberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luan Pombo in the 30th minute of play. With a little luck, Inter de Chillán's Anton Björnberg got control of the ball when Luan Pombo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Günther Doty might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anton Björnberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Günther Doty ran back to his position shaking his head. Günther Doty could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Anton Björnberg made a huge save. David Abad showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rickard Erserman, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Chinese CJ Youth Academy's David Abad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rickard Erserman in the 45th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Günther Doty to make the kick off. Anton Björnberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Long Xiang Yuan, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. A collision led to Chinese CJ Youth Academy getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Xu Yong Feng hit a great ball. When Rickard Erserman came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Inter de Chillán fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rickard Erserman couldn't finish the play. Günther Doty sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 59th minute Günther Doty shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anton Björnberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Inter de Chillán made a substitution. Albino Zenteno replaced Chen Feng Jian. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eladio Araujo in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck David Abad prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 74th minute Chinese CJ Youth Academy were awarded a corner. Günther Doty went to the cornerflag to take it. After a rather tough play, Chinese CJ Youth Academy's Xu Yong Feng got a free kick in the 77th minute. The Inter de Chillán fans' excitement grew in the 79th match minute when Inter de Chillán's Eladio Araujo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Anton Björnberg came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Chinese CJ Youth Academy's Günther Doty. But to his dismay, Günther Doty quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 95th minute, Timmy Galle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Inter de Chillán's Tobías Izamit tried to score from far away in the 96th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Inter de Chillán walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
