It was beautiful to see ᴀᴄʜᴛᴜɴɢ ʙᴀʙɪᴇs ᴾᴵᴬᴿᴬ's Santiago Sosa in action when he in the 12th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! 13 minutes into the game, Guido Carrillo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ᴀᴄʜᴛᴜɴɢ ʙᴀʙɪᴇs ᴾᴵᴬᴿᴬ the free kick. After 13 played minutes ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA got a freekick which was hit by Guido Carrillo. Uriel Chorche took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Héctor Mainer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Héctor Mainer took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Uriel Chorche. Uriel Chorche dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 28 minutes into the game, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Aristides Asteri nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eurico Velloso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 34th minute, Omar Erez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Uriel Chorche made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Héctor Mainer in the 36th minute of play. In the 43rd minute Héctor Mainer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uriel Chorche saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Aristides Asteri fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's protests and gave Aristides Asteri a yellow card for diving instead. In the 43rd minute, Aristides Asteri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

With a little luck, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Uriel Chorche got control of the ball when Jorge Sal tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nicolas De Custer in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Uriel Chorche saved ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA from getting behind.
