After a rather tough play, Marquês de Herval's Gaston Gonzalez got a free kick in the 26th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fausto Mendonça in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dida Taffarel saved Marquês de Herval from getting behind. Naldo Proença was a little too slow when Nestor Paraibano got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 35th minute. The score was now 1-1. 39 minutes into the match, Scarlet Speedster's goalkeeper Naldo Proença had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nestor Paraibano. Nestor Paraibano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Naldo Proença made a huge save. Raigo Vananurm hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Naldo Proença showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nestor Paraibano, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Naldo Proença made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Nestor Paraibano sent off a good shot on target. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
