Konstanty Literski charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Konstanty Literski the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 2 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for F.C. Sosnowiec! The goalkeeper, Kacper Tobiáš, was totally fooled by Wisła Kraków's Iwan Zaremba, who 4 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. 8 minutes into the game, Damazy Nocny threw the ball into play from the sideline. F.C. Sosnowiec's Massem Mendes quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 9th match minute, Wisła Kraków was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wit Dubilas to maneuver through the defense. In the 15th minute, Damazy Nocny hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sokratis Vissis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Konstanty Literski in the 16th minute of play. In the 17th minute F.C. Sosnowiec were awarded a corner. Konstanty Literski went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led F.C. Sosnowiec's Konstanty Literski to fire away a dangerous shot which Sokratis Vissis despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Kacper Tobiáš showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bogdan Pankiewicz, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edin Džeko in the 29th minute of play forced Wisła Kraków's goalkeeper Sokratis Vissis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Wisła Kraków getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Andrew De Greef hit a great ball. The long shot by Bogdan Pankiewicz in the 40th minute really tested Kacper Tobiáš's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After 41 played minutes F.C. Sosnowiec got a freekick which was hit by Dennis Esbjörnsson. Massem Mendes took the ball and in the 48 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sokratis Vissis. Sokratis Vissis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Rodolfo Goito hit a great ball. 61 minutes into the match, F.C. Sosnowiec's goal looked a bit too open when Bogdan Pankiewicz came free, but Kacper Tobiáš reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sokratis Vissis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edin Džeko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 64 minutes into the game, Andrew De Greef was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wisła Kraków's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave F.C. Sosnowiec the free kick. A collision led to Wisła Kraków getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Andrew De Greef hit a great ball. Konstanty Literski took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 65th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sokratis Vissis. Wisła Kraków's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Sokratis Vissis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edin Džeko in the 70th minute. Sokratis Vissis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edin Džeko in the 87th minute of the match. When Damazy Nocny fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Wisła Kraków's protests and gave Damazy Nocny a yellow card for diving instead. In the 94th match minute, Wisła Kraków was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damazy Nocny to maneuver through the defense. In the 96th minute Edin Džeko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sokratis Vissis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Konstanty Literski was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 96 minutes had been played. In the 97th minute, Konstanty Literski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
