Sokratis Vissis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. After 46 played minutes Soczewki Gliwice got a freekick which was hit by Bogumil Babicki. After the first half Soczewki Gliwice were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomasz Sobania to make the kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Wisła Kraków's goal looked a bit too open when Tomasz Sobania came free, but Sokratis Vissis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sokratis Vissis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomasz Sobania in the 60th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Tomasz Sobania could shoot a difficult shot in the 63rd minute, which Sokratis Vissis however easily saved by the left post. After 64 played minutes Wisła Kraków got a freekick which was hit by Jurand Rakiewicz. Tomasz Sobania received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Sokratis Vissis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wisła Kraków made a substitution. Keith Ripley replaced Bogdan Pankiewicz. Szczepan Domaradzki charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Szczepan Domaradzki the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Wisła Kraków getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Szczepan Domaradzki hit a great ball. Tomasz Sobania struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Sokratis Vissis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Soczewki Gliwice. In the 75th minute, Witomir Gdowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elmar Roorda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Sokratis Vissis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 88th minute Tomasz Sobania shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sokratis Vissis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Soczewki Gliwice's Damazy Kensicki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wit Dubilas in the 89th minute of play. In the 90th minute, Szczepan Domaradzki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Wisła Kraków fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Soczewki Gliwice were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
