It was a well-played corner which Robbin Moreaux managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Luis Elequemedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tanek Ostrowski having to interfere. Yan Chen Yan scored 2-1 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tanek Ostrowski, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Şota Arveladze blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Thibaut Courtois having to make a save. After having played for 31 minutes, Şota Arveladze managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Olympique Gdynia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Şota Arveladze was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 37 minutes into the match, Luis Elequemedo notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Olympique Gdynia's Tanek Ostrowski. In the 61st minute Luis Elequemedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tanek Ostrowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, Szczakowianka's Tanek Ostrowski threw himself towards the right post 64 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Radowit Ogrodowicz, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Thibaut Courtois made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Şota Arveladze in the 65th minute of play.
