Herminio Pirmin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xiao Yuan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. But to his dismay, Xiao Yuan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 15th minute, Natalio Chale had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. In the 17th match minute, Cable a Tierra was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernan Lugo to maneuver through the defense. Herminio Pirmin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xiao Yuan in the 20th minute of play. When Leopoldo Constancio came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Celta de Virgos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leopoldo Constancio couldn't finish the play. In the 28th minute Eusebio Gorosti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herminio Pirmin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Celta de Virgos's Herminio Pirmin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eusebio Gorosti in the 29th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Xiao Yuan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Herminio Pirmin was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Herminio Pirmin came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Cable a Tierra's Xiao Yuan. But to his dismay, Xiao Yuan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Xiao Yuan made a kick off. In the 58th minute, Eusebio Gorosti ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Herminio Pirmin was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. Celta de Virgos's Ernesto Iraitz was substituted for Joel Servando. After 63 played minutes Celta de Virgos got a freekick which was hit by Bernabe Estavan. Herminio Pirmin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aquilino Guerrero in the 66th minute of play. Leopoldo Constancio hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fernan Lugo got free with Herminio Pirmin in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cable a Tierra's Victoriano Eztebe was substituted for Eusebio Gorosti. Ismael Ubarna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernesto Iraitz in the 85th minute of play. Ismael Ubarna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernesto Iraitz, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Herminio Pirmin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernan Lugo, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. 91 minutes into the match, Celta de Virgos's goal looked a bit too open when Fernan Lugo came free, but Herminio Pirmin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cable a Tierra played a much better game than Celta de Virgos and deserved their victory. The Celta de Virgos players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
