With an all-out effort, Lobos de Carelia's Celedonio Eguen threw himself towards the right post 20 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Prospero Inguma, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 22 minutes had been played when some careless play by Matheu City FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Adolfo Gombal was slow to take the kick. During this time Lobos de Carelia's players had a chance to rest. In the 24th minute Minas Makris shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Feliberto Ipar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Minas Makris received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Feliberto Ipar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Celedonio Eguen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabriel Efraim, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. After 29 played minutes Lobos de Carelia got a freekick which was hit by Adolfo Gombal. In the 33rdth minute of the game Minas Makris who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lobos de Carelia's Feliberto Ipar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Minas Makris's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Feliberto Ipar was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. Lobos de Carelia's Feliberto Ipar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Minas Makris in the 38th minute of play. With a little luck, Matheu City FC's Celedonio Eguen got control of the ball when Prospero Inguma tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 44thth minute of the game Robinho Salgado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lobos de Carelia's Feliberto Ipar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Matheu City FC's Eulalio Santio got a free kick in the 45th minute. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Minas Makris made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Prospero Inguma in the 53rd minute of play forced Matheu City FC's goalkeeper Celedonio Eguen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 53 minutes into the game, Prospero Inguma cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Celedonio Eguen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anier Manny in the 60th minute of play forced Lobos de Carelia's goalkeeper Feliberto Ipar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zeca Fernandez struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Celedonio Eguen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lobos de Carelia. In the 66thth minute of the game Minas Makris who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lobos de Carelia's Feliberto Ipar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 66 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Minas Makris sped through Lobos de Carelia's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Feliberto Ipar. Celedonio Eguen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Prospero Inguma in the 75th minute of the match. Lobos de Carelia's defense didn't have a chance, in the 77th minute, when Robinho Salgado scored to the left of an out of position Feliberto Ipar, making the score, 1-3. If Vicente Marin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mariano Egoitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Feliberto Ipar having to interfere. Lobos de Carelia's Feliberto Ipar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Lobos de Carelia from getting a goal against them. Mariano Egoitz struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Feliberto Ipar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Matheu City FC. Feliberto Ipar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Minas Makris went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. The Matheu City FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Matheu City FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
