Pedro Luiz Prado was slow to take the kick. During this time Mestre GG's players had a chance to rest. Remigiusz Paciuszko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leandro Paredes, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Vito Castelao made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boguslaw Makarewicz in the 44th minute of play. Mestre GG were awarded a corner in the 45th minute after Dinamita on Grass's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Pedro Luiz Prado took the corner. After taking down the ball on Mestre GG's corner Jorginho Garcia fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Vito Castelao quite easily take care of the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
