Ludomil Ziomkowski made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Johannes Kruuse sent off a good shot on target. When Maurício Rodrigues came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the S.C. Corinthians Paulista fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maurício Rodrigues couldn't finish the play. Virgiawan Laturua's late challenge caught a S.C. Corinthians Paulista's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
