A throw-in in the 14th minute of the game was made by Xesus Abarca with Emesto Abajas as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juan Funes in the 19th minute of play forced Chuquisaca's goalkeeper Fabrizio Catapano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabrizio Catapano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan Funes in the 21st minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Werner Colvin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chuquisaca's supporters rose to their feet, but Werner Colvin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcelo Barovero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Juan Funes took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fabrizio Catapano. Fabrizio Catapano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After a rather tough play, Chuquisaca's Anier Maidana got a free kick in the 32nd minute. 36 minutes into the match, Chuquisaca's goal looked a bit too open when Juan Funes came free, but Fabrizio Catapano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Werner Colvin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fabrizio Catapano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Funes, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Werner Colvin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Werner Colvin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 54 minutes into the game, Guerau Abeitia threw the ball into play from the sideline. Chuquisaca's Anier Maidana quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. If Werner Colvin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. River CBBA made a substitution. Ponciano Abarca replaced Juan Funes. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Werner Colvin managed to get in a good position for a shot. In the 65th minute, River CBBA's Ponciano Abarca ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Fabrizio Catapano. Fabrizio Catapano yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. In the 72nd minute, Ponciano Abarca ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fabrizio Catapano was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Chuquisaca's España Barajas managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Modesto Ado in the 82 minute of the game. Fabrizio Catapano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ponciano Abarca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 95th play minute Ponciano Abarca came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Fabrizio Catapano. 0-4. When the match was over River CBBA could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Chuquisaca throughout the match.
