Fabrizio Catapano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Funes, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. In the 9th minute, Juan Funes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fabrizio Catapano was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 12th minute Juan Funes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabrizio Catapano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Matías Almeida made in the 14th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Juan Funes however managed to control. Juan Funes did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Fabrizio Catapano 15 minutes into the match. 22 minutes into the game, Juan Funes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Fabrizio Catapano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Werner Colvin took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcelo Barovero. Marcelo Barovero dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. With a little luck, Chuquisaca's Fabrizio Catapano got control of the ball when Juan Funes tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Werner Colvin in the 35th minute of play forced River CBBA's goalkeeper Marcelo Barovero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabrizio Catapano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Juan Funes in the 36th minute. In the 37th minute River CBBA were awarded a corner. Guerau Abeitia went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on River CBBA's corner Sergio Batista fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Fabrizio Catapano quite easily take care of the ball. Chuquisaca's Vicemte Abancens quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Sergio Batista, made in the 46th minute of the game. In the 48th minute, Werner Colvin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Juan Funes was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of River CBBA booed when Chuquisaca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Werner Colvin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcelo Barovero made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Werner Colvin sent off a good shot on target. 67 minutes into the match, River CBBA's goal looked a bit too open when Werner Colvin came free, but Marcelo Barovero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guerau Abeitia kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. River CBBA made a substitution. Varis Birgelis replaced Cipriano Abechuco. Guerau Abeitia hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Fabrizio Catapano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sergio Batista in the 76th minute of the match. Boleslaw Mruk made in the 79th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by River CBBA's Boğaçhan Akyel. A collision led to Chuquisaca getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Anier Maidana hit a great ball. In the 82ndth minute Sergio Batista beautifully dribbled past Chuquisaca's defense and it looked for a moment as a certain goal, but Fabrizio Catapano pulled off a phantom save to prevent the ball from scoring on his left hand side. Marcelo Barovero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cyprian Soroka, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 93rd minute, Ponciano Abarca left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The River CBBA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2.
