Maximo Oriol's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eusébio Caiado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Maximo Oriol to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, los nadies's Amado Inautzi ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Józef Mlynarczyk.
