Haji Sarap dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The South Korea fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that 김 담 should have stopped the shot. 김 준 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Haji Sarap tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Indonesia made a substitution. Cakra Nyakmad replaced Jagacitra Indo. Indonesia's Hanung Sephtianda was substituted for Warsidi Oktavianus. Indonesia's Syahrul Pattinasarani was substituted for April Idris. In the 81st minute Cakra Nyakmad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 김 담 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 84 minutes of play, Indonesia's Cakra Nyakmad made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. 김 담 was left in no man's land by his defense there! 김 준 could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Haji Sarap made a huge save. Indonesia walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
