In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Tacheros de Buenos Aires's goalkeeper Gregorio Lehior, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Damaso Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rolando Guilabertus made in the 28th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Adolfo Blanco however managed to control. Damaso Sancho might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gregorio Lehior. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Damaso Sancho ran back to his position shaking his head. Damaso Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Gregorio Lehior tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36thth minute of the game Damaso Sancho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tacheros de Buenos Aires's Gregorio Lehior was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Máté Márton made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mattin Solbeida in the 37th minute. In the 42nd minute Damaso Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gregorio Lehior saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Damaso Sancho might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gregorio Lehior. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Damaso Sancho ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 44th minute Damaso Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gregorio Lehior saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Damaso Sancho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Máté Márton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Faustão Melo in the 53rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Tacheros de Buenos Aires's zone, Iker Atarrabi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gregorio Lehior came out of the goal and Iker Atarrabi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Máté Márton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mattin Solbeida, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Damaso Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tacheros de Buenos Aires's Gregorio Lehior played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damaso Sancho in the 60th minute of play. 71 minutes in the game Rolando Guilabertus did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Faustão Melo. Máté Márton stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adolfo Blanco's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. When Arnaldo Oidor came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Congo Bongo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arnaldo Oidor couldn't finish the play. Arnaldo Oidor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Arnaldo Oidor might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gregorio Lehior. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. After 89 minutes of play, Tacheros de Buenos Aires's Faustão Melo made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Máté Márton was left in no man's land by his defense there! Arnaldo Oidor blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gregorio Lehior having to make a save. Gregorio Lehior made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arnaldo Oidor in the 92nd minute. Arnaldo Oidor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
