In the 21st minute Leopoldo Trancoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esteban Aleson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 31 minutes of play, Vanadio F.C.'s Montrell Sojo made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Valdo Catarinense was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 33 minutes, Jakob Pernambucano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vanadio F.C. and the SORRISO E. Júlio Eger got his second yellow card in the match during the 34th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. C.'s protests and gave Mateus Salgado a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, SORRISO E. C.'s Mateus Salgado got a free kick in the 46th minute. In the 48th minute, Rameriz Cando got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Vanadio F.C. players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. SORRISO E. C. were winning 1-2.

The wind increased when Montrell Sojo made the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the game, Vanadio F.C.'s Montrell Sojo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Valdo Catarinense made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. In the 60thth minute of the game Jakob Pernambucano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SORRISO E. C.'s Valdo Catarinense was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rameriz Cando received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Valdo Catarinense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to SORRISO E. C. getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Mateus Salgado hit a great ball. In the 63rd minute of the match Lorencio Erosa shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Valdo Catarinense showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Montrell Sojo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Alberto Mendonça received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Esteban Aleson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vanadio F.C.'s Christian Arratia was substituted for Lorencio Erosa. In the 69th match minute, SORRISO E. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leopoldo Trancoso to maneuver through the defense. Christian Arratia took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Valdo Catarinense. Valdo Catarinense dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. C. defense, Christian Arratia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Valdo Catarinense. The SORRISO E. C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Valdo Catarinense should have stopped the shot. After 87 played minutes Vanadio F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Romano Montoya. A collision led to SORRISO E. C. getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Cláudio Couto hit a great ball. Valdo Catarinense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jakob Pernambucano in the 90th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Michael Curiel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vanadio F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Michael Curiel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valdo Catarinense breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. SORRISO E. C.'s players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
