After a rather tough play, SORRISO E. C.'s Agostinho Pombal got a free kick in the 5th minute. In the 8th match minute, SORRISO E. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Júlio Eger to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of AS Pikachuzim booed when SORRISO E. C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leopoldo Trancoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. 14 minutes into the game, Dadá Torres was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AS Pikachuzim's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SORRISO E. C. the free kick. The supporters of SORRISO E. C. booed when AS Pikachuzim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dadá Torres didn't get a good kick on the ball. Claudinho Moura made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Alberto Mendonça sent off a good shot on target. In the 18th minute, Leopoldo Trancoso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Claudinho Moura was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Alberto Mendonça managed to get in a good position for a shot. SORRISO E. C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Alberto Mendonça was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Claudinho Moura breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Claudinho Moura showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cláudio Couto, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Cristian Bittencourt hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, AS Pikachuzim's Dadá Torres got a free kick in the 40th minute. 46 minutes into the match, AS Pikachuzim's Cristian Bittencourt sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Valdo Catarinense narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dadá Torres to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute of the match Jairo Madureira sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Claudinho Moura skillfully saved the ball. Tiago Lira's late challenge caught a SORRISO E. C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tiago Lira helped the player get up and apologised. In the 53rd minute, Tiago Lira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SORRISO E. C.'s Leopoldo Trancoso got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. AS Pikachuzim were furious when Aílton Carneiro was red carded, 58 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 58 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for AS Pikachuzim! AS Pikachuzim:s Claudinho Moura showed great skill when he stopped Júlio Eger:s penalty. In the 63rd minute Dadá Torres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdo Catarinense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dadá Torres could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Valdo Catarinense made a huge save. If Dadá Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claudinho Moura took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Mendonça, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in SORRISO E. C.'s zone, Dadá Torres stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valdo Catarinense came out of the goal and Dadá Torres tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Mateus Salgado fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SORRISO E. C.'s protests and gave Mateus Salgado a yellow card for diving instead. Mateus Salgado hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Valdo Catarinense acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 81st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Victor da Fonseca. 89 minutes into the match, SORRISO E. C.'s goalkeeper Valdo Catarinense had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dadá Torres. In the 89th minute, Victor da Fonseca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mateus Salgado in the 92nd minute of play forced AS Pikachuzim's goalkeeper Claudinho Moura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. AS Pikachuzim's Cristian Bittencourt got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
