The audience thought a goal was coming when Maximo Porfiro got free with Constantino Manny in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Vélez Juniors getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Florentino Gaspard hit a great ball. 15 minutes into the game, Vélez Juniors's Mateo Gonzo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alberto Hondo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 18th minute, Aldo Quentin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Constantino Manny showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Virgilio Galsino in the 25th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Serafino Florian in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Constantino Manny saved Vélez Juniors from getting behind. 46 minutes into the game, Ⱨ₳₵ɆĐØⱤ ĐɆ ØⱤØ₴'s Serafino Florian nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Constantino Manny made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Maximo Porfiro was the one to do the kick off. Vélez Juniors's Constantino Manny played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximo Porfiro in the 52nd minute of play. Ⱨ₳₵ɆĐØⱤ ĐɆ ØⱤØ₴'s Alberto Hondo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Ⱨ₳₵ɆĐØⱤ ĐɆ ØⱤØ₴ from getting a goal against them. Fidel Pietro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Alberto Hondo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Inocencio Osasun kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Virgilio Galsino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Maximo Porfiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Constantino Manny tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ⱨ₳₵ɆĐØⱤ ĐɆ ØⱤØ₴ made a substitution. Aleksander Del Piero replaced Oscar Jon. Ⱨ₳₵ɆĐØⱤ ĐɆ ØⱤØ₴ made a substitution. Gaston Demario replaced Maximo Porfiro. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tomás Bordat during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Ⱨ₳₵ɆĐØⱤ ĐɆ ØⱤØ₴ booed when Vélez Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaston Demario in the 82nd minute of play forced Vélez Juniors's goalkeeper Constantino Manny to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 85 minutes, Inocencio Osasun mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ⱨ₳₵ɆĐØⱤ ĐɆ ØⱤØ₴ and the Vélez Juniors players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Ⱨ₳₵ɆĐØⱤ ĐɆ ØⱤØ₴'s Inocencio Osasun got a free kick in the 85th minute.
