The corner was taken by Luis León in the 11th minute. 14 minutes into the match, S.C.CHUÍ's goal looked a bit too open when Wellington Pires came free, but Armando Cerezo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute, Joris Scheer reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Hudson Gaúcho. The goal made the score 1-0. After having played for 21 minutes, Wellington Pires managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Austra VFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wellington Pires was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Luis León had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joris Scheer got free with Hudson Gaúcho in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to S.C.CHUÍ getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Derwin Valensuela hit a great ball. Armando Cerezo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wellington Pires, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wellington Pires was the one to do the kick off. Hudson Gaúcho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joris Scheer in the 52nd minute of play. After 57 played minutes S.C.CHUÍ got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Gamarra. When Sócrates Silva fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Austra VFC's protests and gave Sócrates Silva a yellow card for diving instead. Sócrates Silva kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Joris Scheer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hudson Gaúcho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Caetano Paranaense kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. The corner ended in Dráuzio Cerezo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but S.C.CHUÍ's Armando Cerezo did a great save. After some careless play in the S.C.CHUÍ defense, Dráuzio Cerezo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Armando Cerezo. The S.C.CHUÍ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Armando Cerezo should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Austra VFC booed when S.C.CHUÍ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Gamarra didn't get a good kick on the ball. 96 minutes into the match, Bernardinho Abreu notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Austra VFC's Hudson Gaúcho. Hudson Gaúcho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. S.C.CHUÍ were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
