Roberto Oliverio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Júnior Alagoano in the 18th minute of play. Roberto Oliverio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelo Eger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st minute, Mauro Sarmento left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Castanheiro SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. 25 minutes into the match, LTA FC's Erubiel Dominix sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Doni Seco narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Júnior Alagoano in the 27th minute of play forced LTA FC's goalkeeper Roberto Oliverio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 29 minutes had been played when some careless play by Castanheiro SC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Arsenio Erico was slow to take the kick. During this time LTA FC's players had a chance to rest. Gaudencio Hernandez was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. 31 minutes into the game, LTA FC's Erubiel Dominix nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Doni Seco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. In the 44th match minute, Castanheiro SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulisses Senna to maneuver through the defense. Arsenio Erico recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. LTA FC's Genaro Mederi was substituted for Ubaldo Beltxe. In the 49th match minute, Castanheiro SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luisinho Seco to maneuver through the defense.

Gregorio Castulo hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. If Júnior Alagoano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, LTA FC's Roberto Oliverio got control of the ball when Marcelo Eger tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Ronaldo Pinho kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Roberto Oliverio. That made the score 1-4 in the 74 minute of play. LTA FC made a substitution. Lázaro Ayala replaced Erubiel Dominix. After 78 played minutes LTA FC got a freekick which was hit by Virgilio Oton. LTA FC's Roberto Oliverio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauro Sarmento in the 79th minute of play. 82 minutes into the match, LTA FC's goalkeeper Roberto Oliverio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcelo Eger. Marcelo Eger did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-5 to the left of a surprised Roberto Oliverio 86 minutes into the match. A collision led to LTA FC getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Gregorio Castulo hit a great ball. Doni Seco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Virgilio Oton, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. LTA FC's Virgilio Oton managed to work through Castanheiro SC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Virgilio Oton dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. In the 92nd minute of the match, Mauro Sarmento tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Roberto Oliverio saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind LTA FC's goalkeeper Roberto Oliverio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauro Sarmento in the 97th minute of play forced LTA FC's goalkeeper Roberto Oliverio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Castanheiro SC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
