Dariusz Wieberneit took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cefero Gala, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Academica Pulheim fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Noel Schaffert in the 36th minute of play forced Real Llull de Reus's goalkeeper León Gala to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Academica Pulheim's Arnd Freye got a free kick in the 37th minute. In the 39th minute Cefero Gala shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dariusz Wieberneit saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cefero Gala fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dariusz Wieberneit having to interfere. Academica Pulheim's Dariusz Wieberneit played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cefero Gala in the 46th minute of play. Raul Antón hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. Academica Pulheim made a substitution. Gottlieb Hagedorn replaced Kevin Meißel. The Real Llull de Reus players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
