An unexpectedly hard shot by Léon Cailleaux in the 14th minute of play forced U21 Mexico's goalkeeper Ciriaco Hernando to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 15th minute U21 France were awarded a corner. Thierry Lhermite went to the cornerflag to take it. Felix Poggi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ovidio Pabla in the 20th minute of the match. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ovidio Pabla made a kick off. 58 minutes into the match, U21 Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Antonin Laruelle came free, but Ciriaco Hernando reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ciriaco Hernando showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Léon Cailleaux in the 59th minute of the match. Faouzi Duclos charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Faouzi Duclos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 91st minute, U21 Mexico's Florencio Rojas dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2.
