Nacho Gonzalez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 39th minute, Bernardo Estevez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nacho Gonzalez was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Baltasar Gaitan during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Los Hornos's Melchor Raymond was substituted for Claudio Fonso. A collision led to Cable a Tierra getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Baltasar Gaitan hit a great ball. After the first half Los Hornos were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bernardo Estevez in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nacho Gonzalez saved Cable a Tierra from getting behind. Bernardo Estevez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nacho Gonzalez having to make a save. 58 minutes into the match, Cable a Tierra's goalkeeper Nacho Gonzalez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bernardo Estevez. After 59 played minutes Los Hornos got a freekick which was hit by Arturo Ciano. Cable a Tierra's Nacho Gonzalez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Cable a Tierra from getting a goal against them. In the 62nd minute Baltasar Gaitan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leopoldo Petri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marciano Tanio made a great header on Los Hornos's corner, it was just that Cable a Tierra's Nacho Gonzalez managed to reach the ball for a save. After 87 minutes of play, Cable a Tierra's Angelo Erauso made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baltasar Gaitan in the 96th minute of play forced Los Hornos's goalkeeper Leopoldo Petri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Los Hornos had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
