Marquês de Herval's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Florian Capasso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Roberto Bolt kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. In the 13th minute Alfredo Martins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauro-Facundo Buffon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 14th minute of the match Marquês de Herval got a corner. Merusca F&P - CIMZ's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Pedro Luís da Rocha ran over to the corner to take the kick. Dida Taffarel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florian Capasso in the 16th minute of the match. Florian Capasso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dida Taffarel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. Merusca F&P - CIMZ's Mauro-Facundo Buffon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nestor Paraibano in the 21st minute of play. In the 22nd minute of the match, Roberto Bolt got a very nice opportunity to score, but Dida Taffarel was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 25th minute, Roberto Bolt fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. With a little luck, Marquês de Herval's Dida Taffarel got control of the ball when Pedrinho Paranaense tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Merusca F&P - CIMZ's goalkeeper Mauro-Facundo Buffon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Selami Rezan hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Mauro-Facundo Buffon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from German Cano, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Alfredo Martins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mauro-Facundo Buffon having to interfere. Dida Taffarel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roberto Bolt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Florian Capasso to strike the kick off in the second half. Florian Capasso made in the 55th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Vihar Perchemliev however managed to control. Dida Taffarel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedrinho Paranaense in the 59th minute of play. When Merusca F&P - CIMZ's Roberto Bolt in the 61st minute got a chance for a shot 61st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The tension between the Merusca F&P - CIMZ and the Marquês de Herval players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 66th match minute, Merusca F&P - CIMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fellipe Capixaba to maneuver through the defense. Marquês de Herval's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Pedro Luís da Rocha in the 68th minute. Geovani Mangueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Dida Taffarel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roberto Bolt in the 89th minute of play forced Marquês de Herval's goalkeeper Dida Taffarel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nestor Paraibano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Mauro-Facundo Buffon made a huge save. In the 95th minute, Marquês de Herval's German Cano ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Mauro-Facundo Buffon. Mauro-Facundo Buffon yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Merusca F&P - CIMZ's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
