The crowd rose to their feet as Konstanty Brzęczyszczykiewicz kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Emílio Serineu. That made the score 4-1 in the 35 minute of play. Emílio Serineu was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Konstanty Brzęczyszczykiewicz showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 6-1 in the 41 minute of play. In the 44th minute Konstanty Brzęczyszczykiewicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emílio Serineu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 45 played minutes Ireland got a freekick which was hit by Jerome Boateng.

Rigan Frankson took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Emílio Serineu. Emílio Serineu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 9-1. Ter Stegen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelo Curvelo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Angola's zone, Lúcio da Silva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emílio Serineu came out of the goal and Lúcio da Silva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Angola's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
