The Everett Hawks's Ludo Vanden Bossche played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nemesio Sol in the 38th minute of play. After 42 played minutes Hidrocarburo FC got a freekick which was hit by Nicodim Mangra. 43 minutes into the match, The Everett Hawks's goal looked a bit too open when Nicodim Mangra came free, but Ludo Vanden Bossche reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kauno Pirnes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fre van Eijnde in the 45th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-2 at half-time.

Calistrat Goga's late challenge caught a The Everett Hawks's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Calistrat Goga helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Hidrocarburo FC getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Calistrat Goga hit a great ball. 61 minutes into the game, Andreas Pirlo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-2. Kauno Pirnes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ludo Vanden Bossche showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nemesio Sol, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. With an all-out effort, Hidrocarburo FC's Ludo Vanden Bossche threw himself towards the right post 77 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Nemesio Sol, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. The Everett Hawks had won after a very even match.
