Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Antônio Carlos Bueno kicked off to start the match. In the 6th minute Antônio Carlos Bueno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonio Adán saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Quintino Carvalhais, 10 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. AF CERRADO's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Braga the free kick. The supporters of SC Braga booed when AF CERRADO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcos Paulista didn't get a good kick on the ball. Antonio Adán showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Murilo Lucas, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. After a defensive mix-up in SC Braga's zone, Róbson Bittencourt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antonio Adán came out of the goal and Róbson Bittencourt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nestor Hermes in the 22nd minute of play forced SC Braga's goalkeeper Antonio Adán to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 28th minute Zigmantas Gimbutas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arlindo Guedes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arlindo Guedes made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Zigmantas Gimbutas sent off a good shot on target. Murilo Lucas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zigmantas Gimbutas made a kick off. 52 minutes into the game, SC Braga's Quintino Carvalhais nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arlindo Guedes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Murilo Lucas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Antonio Adán made a huge save. In the 59th minute, Zigmantas Gimbutas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Braga fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. 64 minutes into the match, Zigmantas Gimbutas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arlindo Guedes. AF CERRADO's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zigmantas Gimbutas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. SC Braga made a substitution. Stig-Åke Mattsson replaced Zigmantas Gimbutas. Arlindo Guedes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stig-Åke Mattsson in the 70th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 92 minutes, Antonio Adán successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 92 minutes into the match, SC Braga's goal looked a bit too open when Thiago Damião came free, but Antonio Adán reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 96 minutes into the match, SC Braga's goal looked a bit too open when Toninho Moreira came free, but Antonio Adán reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
