Nelsinho Marinho scored 0-1 in the 3rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mathias Queirós, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in AKI CORINTHIANS's zone, David Vale stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mathias Queirós came out of the goal and David Vale tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mathias Queirós didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Palestra do Interior's Nelsinho Marinho shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-2 in the ordered_time% minute. 15 minutes into the match, Palestra do Interior's Ronaldo Pirani sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mathias Queirós narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A nice corner shot did that Zé Orella got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Mathias Queirós quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 18th minute Zé Orella shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mathias Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 21 minutes, Christiano Palmeira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Palestra do Interior and the AKI CORINTHIANS players grew even worse after the yellow card. Mathias Queirós showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronaldo Pirani in the 23rd minute of the match. David Vale made in the 26th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by AKI CORINTHIANS's Wanderson Paraibano. In the 27th minute, Ronaldo Pirani left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Palestra do Interior fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. 29 minutes into the game, Dário do Vale was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AKI CORINTHIANS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Palestra do Interior the free kick. A collision led to AKI CORINTHIANS getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Dário do Vale hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Nelsinho Marinho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palestra do Interior's supporters rose to their feet, but Nelsinho Marinho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mathias Queirós breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 32ndth minute of the game Nelsinho Marinho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AKI CORINTHIANS's Mathias Queirós was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 36 minutes of play, Palestra do Interior's Zé Orella made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mathias Queirós was left in no man's land by his defense there! 39 minutes into the match, AKI CORINTHIANS's goal looked a bit too open when Nelsinho Marinho came free, but Mathias Queirós reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mathias Queirós stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nelsinho Marinho's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. 43 minutes into the match, David Vale had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mathias Queirós. AKI CORINTHIANS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that David Vale was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. In the 46th minute, Nelsinho Marinho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Palestra do Interior fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Severino Netto was the one to do the kick off. Nelsinho Marinho did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-7 to the left of a surprised Mathias Queirós 60 minutes into the match. Mathias Queirós didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nelsinho Marinho went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-8 was the resulting score. AKI CORINTHIANS's Mathias Queirós proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save AKI CORINTHIANS from getting a goal against them. Luisão de Medeiros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mathias Queirós having to interfere. Palestra do Interior made a substitution. Delfim Quintal replaced Christiano Palmeira. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by José Carlos Medeiros during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 75th match minute, AKI CORINTHIANS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Carlos Medeiros to maneuver through the defense. With 76 minutes on the clock, Dário do Vale commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Mathias Queirós had in the 79thth minute some difficulties stopping Nelsinho Marinho's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Nelsinho Marinho did an outstanding performance 79 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 0-9 to the right of an irritated Mathias Queirós in the goal. When Ulysses Neto came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Palestra do Interior fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ulysses Neto couldn't finish the play. Mathias Queirós showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronaldo Pirani, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Zé Orella recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in Palestra do Interior fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 92nd minute. Penalty! In the 97th minute, Palestra do Interior's Nelsinho Marinho ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Mathias Queirós. Mathias Queirós yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-10. In the 101st minute, Palestra do Interior's Zé Orella dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-11. The AKI CORINTHIANS fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Palestra do Interior were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
